Got a chill that you can’t shake or a drafty window? Stay toasty warm during the cooler winter months with our selection of indoor heating products. Enjoy the cozy ambiance of a wood-burning fire without the mess and maintenance with our selection of electric fireplaces and inserts. We also offer electric space heaters that provide directed warmth where you need it most indoors.
Is it safe to put a space heater on carpet?
Never place an electric space heater on top of your carpet or an area rug. The material of the carpet or rug tends to trap heat and could catch on fire if it gets too hot. Only place your space heater should be is on the floor that is a hard surface, such as wood, tile, laminate or vinyl.
Do I need to have a professional install my indoor electric fireplace?
Our collection of electric fireplaces and inserts are designed to be straightforward and easy to set up. For many of our electric fireplaces, you can simply just plug them into an outlet. However, if you are planning to install your electric fireplace or insert into a wall, existing hearth or mounting to a wall, you may want to consult with an electrician or carpenter, especially if the location you are considering isn’t located near an electrical outlet for your fireplace to plug into.
Is it safe to put an electric fireplace under a TV?
A fireplace underneath a mounted TV looks sleek and stylish in any living room, but is it safe to do this with an electric fireplace? When installing your electric fireplace, you will want to ensure that the TV will not be in direct contact with the rising heat. For our Sunnydaze electric fireplaces, we recommend a minimum of 3 – 4 feet of clearance from other objects to protect them against heat damage. To be safe, ensure that your space is properly ventilated and that you have a hearth or shelf between the fireplace and the TV. If you are still unsure, consult a certified electrician or consider installing the fireplace in a location not directly near a TV.
