How Do I Start a Fire in a Fire Pit?
First, it's important that you have the proper equipment and you are following proper fire pit safety. You'll want to gather items such as tinder, kindling, and a fire starter.
Next, you'll want to create a pile in the bottom center of your wood-burning fire pit with your tinder, grab the kindling and place it at a 35-degree angle directly above the tinder, take the fire starter and light the tinder pile, and once it starts burning place your seasoned firewood in a similar structure as your kindling. Ensure that you are leaving small gaps between your firewood to maximize the air flow of your outdoor fire pit.
